Thursday 3 September

We had a leisurely start to the day, with no particular hurry to make the short journey back to Oxford. Following a breakfast of cereals and croissants, we packed: this took rather longer in my case as I had a load of laundry to gather up and to pack into the rather limited luggage space available.

My parents wanted to do some shopping, so we all drove across to North Camp station. Pauline and I caught the 11.19 train, one of very few from North Camp to go direct to Oxford without the need to change at Reading. We reached in Oxford in just over an hour, picked up a taxi from the station (not wishing to attempt to carry all our luggage all the way this time). We reached Jowett Walk just after 12.30, at the end of what had been a superb holiday.
